My name is Leen-say!!

Whenever somebody here asks me my name and I say ¨Lindsey¨they get confused and say ¨linley? Wensey?¨and then finally I spell it for them and then they say ¨ohhh Leensay!¨ So now i just introduce myself as Leensay. It def makes life less complicated. Our friends joke that I am Lindsey Davenport and Katie is Katie Perry.

Last night we went out for a few drinks with the boys at a fun bar. We took a picture with them and my face was half covered and Youseff said ¨you know the game ´Donde esta walli? (which is Where´s Waldo) Its like donde esta leensay in this picture!¨ haha that cracked me up. Another thing Katie and I can´t get over is that they call their friend, Ernest,¨Super Ernesto!¨ Everytime I think of his name I literally LOL.

We also learned some important words last night like ¨tragos¨(shots) ¨desafilla¨(daredevil/badass) and ¨Tita Grande¨(which litterally means the big boob, but it means the person who is the butt of all the jokes.) Katie was deemed La tita grande of the week for drinking too much the other night. haha Love you Katie!

I figured out that I have a new fear: ¨El hombre rojo¨(the red man) In american streets (on the crosswalk) we have the white man symbol and the red hand symbol. Here they have a green man and red man. When the green man changes to red man... its serious. YOU DO NOT WALK. The drivers here are insane and will run you over. When we are walking across the street and the green man changes to red man, we seriosuly panic and bolt. No me gusta el hombre rojo!!

This morning we traveled to Xativa, an amazing place in the mountains where you can hike up and see all the ancient buildings. We hiked up there earlier and it was so beautiful... and to top it off, it was like perfect weather! A bunch of people in our group were complaining about their feet hurting and how they were tired and didnt want to walk. This kind of annoyed me because it was such a beautiful day with amazing scenery and we were doing something that we will probably never do again for the rest of our lives... Katie and I were feeling crazy and we decided to jog down the mountain! (We both despise running usually but since it was downhill, it was amazing and we felt great afterwards) We probably burned over 1000 calories today, but afterwards I got a cup of dark chocolate ice cream so it probably cancelled some of that out... then for dinner I had paella and pasta so I def. cancelled it out.

Tomorrow before class we are going to go to the beach. We visited it the other day and it is really pretty! (It is also a topless beach, but don´t worry Jess, I´m not partaking in that!) And Im with my group so that would be totally awkward anyway... But anyways, its almost 2 in the morning here, and I havent done my hw yet! ahh. I better go do that.
